Audiology
Degrees in the UK
The
minimum standard for practice in the UK is the is the 4 year bachelors
(BSc) course. Alternatively there are also masters (MSc) courses
which are available as a top-up for science graduates in other subjects,
and for audiological physicians who wish to specialise. There is
also one Doctor of Audiology (AuD) course being offered by an american
university in the UK. However it should be noted that an AuD is not
a mandatory requirement for practice in the UK. Details of undergraduate

BSc
Audiology Degrees
The Bachelor of Science in Audiology is the new entry level
qualification required for all new entrants into the field
of Audiology in the UK. It
is available at various universities across the United Kingdom.
All applications for BSc programs must be submitted via the
UCAS system.
These degree courses take four years to complete and they include
a clinical
placement during the course.

MSc
Audiology Degrees
The Master of Science audiology related degrees in the UK are
designed for those who would like to work in audiology, but their
initial
specialism (degree)
is
not
in the field but typically in another scientific area / medicine.
Various types of audiology MSc courses are offered across the
United Kingdom, ranging from
Audiology
/ Audiological
Science to Audiological Medicine (for physicians who would
like to specialise in
Audiology).

Doctor
of Audiology (AuD)
The Doctor of Audiology is for audiological scientists
and physicians who wish to further their studies, having already
attained an MSc in the area.
